FAQ

Is the venue outdoors or indoors?

1

Both! The bars and dancefloor are inside, with large garage doors that open to the outdoor courtyard (where the ceremony will take place), as well as an additional outdoor seating area in the back.

What if I have food sensitivities or dietary restrictions?

2

Our dinner will be buffet style, catered by two of our favourite restaurants here in Hamilton: The Mule (tacos!) and Rapscallion (salads and pastas!). We are planning to include vegetarian options, however, if you have more specific dietary needs, please reach out to us and we will make sure to organize something for you with the caterer.

There is no official dress code, but we encourage everyone to wear something fun, funky, and/or colourful (think “Funky Formal”). Because dinner will be served in a cocktail style with standing tables and limited seating, we also encourage guests to wear comfy shoes (also a great choice for those who plan to dance all night!).

If you’re staying at a hotel/rental in Hamilton, we highly recommend getting an Uber/Lyft or a taxi to the venue. Since Ringside is right in the heart of downtown Hamilton, catching a ride to/from the venue is the quickest and most reliable option.

If you’re driving in from out of town, we’ve highlighted some parking options in the “Venue and Parking Info” page of our website. James Street also has free parking on Saturdays, but we would recommend the West Harbour GO Station as a close and reliable spot to leave your car.

If you’re training in from Toronto, the venue is a 5 minute walk from the West Harbour GO Station. We would recommend catching the Lakeshore West Train that arrives at West Harbour GO at 4:08 (the next train arrives at 5:09).
